One person dies of dengue in 24 hours, 374 hospitalized

One person has died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 374 people have been admitted to hospitals.

This information was given in a notification sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday (October 4). In the notification, the Directorate General of Health Services gave information for 24 hours from 8 am on Friday to 8 am today.

The Directorate General of Health Services said that 374 people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country including Dhaka due to dengue in the last 24 hours. Of these, 63 have been admitted in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 102 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 67 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 46 in Dhaka North City, 48 in Dhaka South City, 37 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation) and 11 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation).

Meanwhile, 370 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the past one day. This year, 46,358 people have been discharged.

The young man (20) who died in 24 hours was undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

According to the Health Department, 10 people died of dengue in January, 3 in February, 7 in April, 3 in May, 19 in June, 41 in July, 39 in August and 76 in September. No one died in March. This year, 203 people have died of dengue till October 4.

787 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals in the capital due to dengue. Apart from this, a total of 48,865 patients have been admitted to hospitals since January this year. Of these, 1,161 were admitted in January, 374 in February, 336 in March, 701 in April, 1,773 in May, 5,951 in June, 10,496 in August and 15,866 in September.
